My weekly posts

A conservative perspective on radical change

I offer a conservative perspective on radical change, inspired by G.K. Chesterton’s parable about understanding the purpose of existing institutions before dismantling them. Reflecting on my own experience, I once sent an 18-page memo to the chief executive, advocating for change based on insights from Vanguard consulting. I realized that while new methods like Agile and Service Design are valuable, true change requires understanding the perspectives of those who have tried and failed before. Passion must be balanced with empathy.
