For a family dealing with several services, the answer depends on what those services can do together. It also depends on whose knowledge reaches the people making decisions.
On Wednesday 4 November, I’ll be talking with Chrissie Gregory and Sharon Davidson about how they’ve approached this work. Both are experienced improvement consultants working with the London Borough of Islington, and both are Commissioning Academy alumni.
They’ll bring two practical examples: an extended children’s services leadership team, and applying a live Academy 100-day project at another council. We’ll get into what they asked people to do, how workforce knowledge reached leadership discussions, and what happened afterwards.
I’m interested in what the Academy added to their existing experience, and what it took to put that learning to work.If you work in children’s services, commissioning, or public service reform, bring a situation you’re trying to work through.
We’ve kept time minutes for questions and discussion.
