Transduction – leading transformation – Issue #226

My weekly posts

Public services don’t start with commissioning; they start with someone trying to keep a life together. Come learn with us at Stronger Things!

I’m trying to shift the commissioning conversation away from buying better services and towards seeing the conditions that help people live well. The Commissioning Compass, smartCompass and the v2.0 beta are practical ways into that work: start with real demand, notice where judgement is blocked, change one condition, and learn. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/antlerboy_strongerthings2026-communitypower-relationalpublicservices-ugcPost-7472545519358148608-BUHc/

the RedQuadrant five core practices – a collection of links

I’ve pulled together links to my five core practices work: honesty, shared sensemaking, productive conversations, clarity, purposeful culture, and good and true intent. It’s a useful route through talks, slides, posts and interviews on the practices I keep returning to when organisations need to work better with people and complexity. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/antlerboy_five-core-practices-activity-6818796903392784384-WIDi

What I’ve been reading:

Congratulations to Andrew Humphreys. who has stepped into a new role as SAVVI Delivery Manager.

The SAVVI project, (short for Scalable Approach to Vulnerability via Interoperability) is about helping public services identify, assess, and support people at risk of poor outcomes, whether that’s homelessness, child poverty, or even being unable to evacuate during a flood. By developing open data standards, practical guidance, and innovative tools, SAVVI enables a truly coordinated, multi-agency response. You can read more on Andrew’s role, and on the project, here: https://coda.io/@savvi/welcome/exciting-news-from-the-savvi-team-313
